Beautiful Fine Art Gallery Wrap Canvas giclée reproduction of the excellent masterpiece painted by Robert Knox Sneden (1832-1918), an American painter, born in Nova Scotia.

Sneden was enlisted in the 40th New York Volunteers Regiment to serve in the US Civil War as mapmaker. He was captured and while in prison made pencil sketch maps; when freed on 1864, he turned them into watercolors.

It depicts the route taken by Union Admiral Farragut in August 1864 and March 1865, when his fleet provided naval support to land forces under Frederick Steele and E.R.S. Canby. Confederates uses of naval mines. Spanish Fort Siege. Union and Confederate forces locations. Scale not given.
